ohfolio is a fantastic alternative to using a design agency for your website. We make the whole process of getting online Easy and Affordable.
You simply choose a web design that suits your needs, order it and (usually within 2-3 days) you are online. It is as simple as that, we will even provide you a domain name if you do not already have one.
Once online, you will be able to manage your own site content by adding text, images, logos, contact details etc, whenever you like, using our simple and unique MySite Editor™

Users do not need any kind of technical knowledge as the website's content management system 'MySite Editor™' is simple, straightforward and easy to use. It enables users to change logos, images, text and contact details within minutes anywhere there is an internet connection. And you can do this on any Flash-enabled device.
There is no software to download or purchase.
What technology does ohfolio use?
Flash, HTML, XML and PHP are all used seamlessly to create our website
designs and incorporate MySite Editor™.
What if I already have a domain name and hosting?
That’s no problem. You simply change the TAG of your domain name from your current hosts to ours. This can take up to a week to go through though, so we advise yo do this immediately after receiving your email confirmation from us stating that your order is complete.
If you don’t have a name or hosting we provide these as part of the service, or if you wish you can choose to have a subdomain of ohfolio.com.
What if I like a design but I require specific changes, can this be done?
Yes we will be happy to discuss with you any changes you require on an individual basis.

Will my site be search engine friendly / optimised (SEO)?
Yes it will. We can do this even in our Flash websites as we use an externally accessed text document to store your website text, which is then accessed by the Flash website. This ensures that any text written on your homepage is successfully indexed by search engines such as Google and Bing.
Therefore, if you ensure that your title and main text content reflect what you do, you can expect search engines to know about it.

We now provide our websites with UNLIMITED bandwidth, so you will always have more than enough to cope with your visitors. With regard to storage space we believe that 2gb is plenty for most customers' needs - 2gb is around 2500 images at full-screen sized resolution.
However if you expect a very high number of images and that you will definitely require more space for your site, we can upgrade your hosting accordingly for a small fee.

Yes it is, you can integrate links to Twitter, Facebook or any other service you use. This is very straightforward for simple links to your Facebook/Twitter pages, but for more complex integration we explain methods for doing these in our User Guides.
Will my site show up on mobile phones/smartphones?
Your website will show up on the majority of internet enabled devices. At time of writing this (July 2010), Flash designs will not be visible on iPhones without Adobe FlashPlayer™. However we believe that a solution is imminent and that Flash will be available on iPhones and iPads in the near future.
Why is there no email service?
Email is planned for all ohfolio users, along with a number of forthcoming additions and extras that ohfolio customers will be able to upgrade to for free. If email is important to you, do let us know at time of order and we will ensure you are the first to know when it becomes available.
I have seen advertisements online for free websites?
Unfortunately when you look further into these so called "free website templates" you will find that if you want to go with the free option your site will be surrounded with intrusive advertising and logos, which if nothing else will take your visitors away from your site.
ohfolio does not engage in this kind of misleading advertising.
When you compare our features list side-by-side to those of the competition, we expect you will see that ohfolio is by far the most cost-effective, best value option. And, of course, the best looking!*

Currently we do not allow ohfolio customers to use their sites for advertising.
It may be considered in future if customer feedback shows that this is relevant.

Don't believe what some other template or website design sites still claim - just building a site in html doesn't mean it will fly to the top of the Search Engines. And likewise, if a website incorporates Flash, either fully or partially, it doesn't mean that Search Engines cannot 'read' your website. Far from it, in fact.
Anyone who makes these claims does not undrestand how Search Engines work.
While we admit that Flash websites in general aren't ideal for SEO, all of the text you put on your homapage of our Flash websites is fully readable by Google, Bing, etc, and will be displayed in their search results. how?
SEO is an in-depth subject, and it's a Big Business. That’s why there are so many big companies offering this as a service to other big companies. There are many ways to build your online profile and enable your site to rank highly in the different search engines, without spending any extra money whatsoever - just a little time and effort on your part can produce great results.
ohfolio provides you with straightforward resources and information that will help you get the best out of being online. Starting with a professional looking site is the best base.
We are currently working on designs which use some of the newest technology such as jQuery and HTML5; and when these launch ohfolio customers will be able to switch (if they wish) at no additional cost.
Who are ohfolio?
ohfolio is based in the UK near London and was founded in 2007 by Matthew Hill, a website designer with 15 years of experience.
Matthew realised that although there were companies providing website template services the results looked amateur and the content management systems were often over complicated.
He designed a range of sites which would present creative work, products and services to their best. He also felt it was important that the customer was empowered to update their own content easily, without additional cost or confusing Content Management Systems that used generic "techy talk".
This he thought should be available at a competitive price and, to further reduce any confusion for the customer, without any hidden costs.
As a result ohfolio was born and we now provide beautiful, professional websites to many happy customers!
